Dear Ardmore Families,

We can’t believe the first month of school is already behind us! Students are settling into routines, and we’re so proud of their hard work.

This month, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and in honor of Indigenous peoples and cultures, students will join school-wide activities exploring history, traditions, and cultural practices through interactive lessons and displays. We’re proud to recognize the richness, diversity, and contributions our Hispanic and Indigenous communities bring to Ardmore.

Our multicultural community is one of Ardmore’s greatest strengths. Students hold multiple identities and learn from each other every day. We celebrate this by respecting each other’s beliefs and values.

October is also National Disabilities Awareness Month. This is a time to highlight inclusion and the many strengths and contributions of individuals with disabilities. Students will engage in activities that build empathy, respect, and understanding.

This month, students will also:

  • Engage in the Bullying Prevention Unit
  • Participate in Unity Day activities on October 22nd

Thank you for your continued partnership!

In partnership,

Yusra Obaid – Principal

Renee Barut-del Fierro – Assistant Principal

Student Safety

Safety First

Washington state law and Bellevue School District policy require all schools to hold at least one drill per calendar month while school is in session. This month, we will be conducting an earthquake drill and practicing what we would do if we were at school in the event of an earthquake.

In the United States, the recommended actions to take in the event of an earthquake are Drop, Cover, and Hold On.

Please talk with your student about preparing for emergencies and disasters such as earthquakes. Encourage them to talk about their concerns and express their feelings. Emphasize that even though sometimes things happen that we may not expect, there are lots of things we can do to help us stay safe.

Vaccine Clincs

Bellevue School District Flu and COVID-19 Community Vaccine Clinics

Bellevue School District is partnering with Seattle Visiting Nurse Association (SVNA) to provide vaccine clinics for the public.

SVNA is offering flu vaccines to anyone aged four to adult, and the COVID-19 vaccine to anyone aged five to adult. SVNA clinics require insurance (most insurance accepted) or payment.

Make Your Vaccine Appointment

  1. Find a date and location that is convenient for you and your family. These vaccine clinics are open to all in the BSD community. You do not have to be a student or staff member of a particular school to make an appointment.
  2. Register for an appointment online.
  3. Come to your appointment.
