Ardmore Community Newsletter: Back to School 8.2024
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School year!
Greetings from the Principals
Dear Ardmore Families,
Welcome to the new school year! We are excited to see our returning students and welcome our new students very soon. Ardmore is an amazing and loving school, and we are so lucky to co-lead this school with our families. One of the things we look forward to most is hearing from our students about how they spent their summer. We can't wait to listen to their stories and see their smiling faces back in our building, ready for another year of learning and growth. As we embark on this new academic journey together, we want to thank you for your continuous support and partnership and we are so excited to make new partnerships.
Our goal is to create an environment where every child feels safe, encouraged, and motivated to achieve their full potential as they learn about who they are as learners and build on the assets and gifts they bring with them. We are committed to working closely with you to ensure a positive and enriching experience for all students. This year, we have many exciting opportunities ahead, from engaging learning experiences to hopefully creating memorable events for all of our kids. We hope you we continue to stay connected with all of you throughout the year. Your involvement and input are vital to the success of our school community. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. Together, we will make this school year one of growth, achievement, and joy. Please see below upcoming events and important information.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Sincerely,
Tina Bogucharova-Principal
Yusra Obaid-Assistant Principal

We are happy to share that breakfast and lunch will be offered at no cost (FREE) for all students attending Ardmore Elementary during the 2024-25 school year! Any students wanting to purchase milk only would need to enter their student ID # as that item still needs to be paid for at a cost of $.50. The meal is free, not individual components. While meals are free, it is still important that you complete the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) application as it may qualify you for: Summer EBT benefits;Waived or reduced fees for other programs and activities;Community resources available through our Family Engagement Specialists; and/or Help secure additional funding for our school! The 2024-25 CNEEB application will be available the week of August 19, 2024 and can be completed online at: www.bsd405.org/freeandreduced.
Attendance Policy and Parent Vue
All BSD families are asked to acknowledge our attendance policy. Each year families are granted 5 Excused Absences for extended vacations or appointments. For medical or official government-related appointments we are able to excuse absences. Otherwise, absences and tardies are Unexcused. Please contact us if you have any questions. Here is more information: Attendance - Bellevue School District (bsd405.org)
Parent Vue is a wonderful APP to keep track of attendance and schoolwide communication. At 4pm on 8/28 your child's homeroom information will be visible in Parent Vue. If your student is about to enter middle school, we highly recommend that you get familiar with this APP because you'll be able to keep track of much more school-related messages such as Assignments and Grades. https://bsd405.org/departments/district-technology/grades-attendance/
Safety Drills
Each month we will practice a Safety Drill. The purpose is for students to have awareness of how they should react during an emergency but most importantly to practice staying calm. Each drill takes just a few minutes and after each drill we will answer students' questions and offer further explanations to improve our procedures.
